This cosy restaurant sits in the heart of Rotorua’s CBD and gives its diners a little taste of Italy. The moment you step through the door, you feel as if you’ve been dropped in rural Italy thanks to the homely touches, intimate layout and welcoming atmosphere.

Owned and operated by authentic pizza chef Vasu, who began his career when he fell in love with the art of pizza making in New York. Over ten years later he brought his passion to New Zealand and began working in a quaint little spot called Capizzi in 2014. Two years later, with the opportunity to take over the business, Vasu’s creative flair and culinary genius took full swing as he became the owner of Capizzi.

The entire team is dedicated to providing Rotorua with the best, traditional wood-fired pizzas. Serving delicious, crispy thin-based pizzas topped with a creamy, fresh sauce and a variety of seasonal toppings… And if you were wondering, the chef’s favourite is Capizzi; pepperoni, sausage, mushrooms, red onion, capsicum, and olives!

Beyond the awesome pizzas, make sure you try the bruschetta for a gorgeous small dish to share with friends over a silky glass of New Zealand pinot noir. And for those with any dietary requirements, this eatery will absolutely have something for you!
