We love this event for:
Date, Mates, A Real Treat
Join us for a long, lazy lunch in one of Taupō’s most iconic settings — the Lakeman Woolshed — for a special collaboration with local recipe developer and cookbook author That Green Olive.
Celebrating local producers and seasonal flavours, this three-course feast will showcase ingredients from the Central Plateau and beyond: think beer-braised beef or lamb slow-cooked over open flames, tartare or crudo with a native twist, and That Green Olive’s award-winning Spiced Bourbon Carrot Cake (gluten free, and wildly popular at local markets).
Expect warm scones made with Lakeman Beer and Gruyère, house-made beer butter, stout marmalades, and flour milled right here in Aotearoa from Minchin’s Milling — all served in a shared-style format down a long, beautifully set table in the woolshed.
You’ll be greeted with a drink on arrival, and have the option to add a locally matched drinks pairing to each course, or simply purchase from the pop-up bar as you go.
Crafted with care and steeped in the stories of our region, In the Woolshed is all about celebrating the best of Taupō — shared food, local flavour, and good company.
